In 2008 he banged out 152 base hits in 546 at-bats and a .278 batting average. Among his 65 extra-base hits, Sariana collected 23 doubles, stroked 39 home runs into the stands, scored 86 times, and pushed across 111 runs. Sariana also had 54 bases on balls and a .348 on base percentage. |  | Sunday, October 5th, 2008: Corpus Christi's Yates Earns Recognition for Fine Campaign, Takes Home SALLY Outstanding Pitcher Award Kyle Yates joined an elite class of pitchers today by picking up the SALLY Outstanding Pitcher Award today. The 25-year-old hurler won 17 games for Corpus Christi. He piled up 221 strikeouts, walked only 18, and posted a WHIP of 0.73. Batters hit him at a .178 rate through 191.2 innings pitched. | | | | |
