He rattled the fences and opposing pitchers at a .357 pace, blasted 19 homers, knocked in 73 runs, and crossed the plate 109 times. Fagan cracked 193 hits in 540 at-bats, logged 33 extra-base hits, walked 68 times, and compiled a .436 on base percentage. |  | Wednesday, October 1st, 2008: Stahl of the Salem Avalanche Heralded as CAR Premier Pitcher Few men in baseball history have won the coveted Outstanding Pitcher Award. Richard Stahl joined this elite company today when the Carolina League bestowed the honor upon the 27-year-old Salem starter. Stahl put up a 23-2 record, an ERA of 2.10, and 225 Ks on the year.
